Where there is an Idol, there is an Altar.

In the last 3 weeks, the Lord has been dealing with me on the topic of altars in my life. I’ve been going through a book that guides you in praying against altars in many different areas.

So what’s exactly is an idol?

It’s an image or a statue. It’s anything we place above and before the Lord.

In this day and age there are so many things that can be considered an idol in the lives of millions.

Electronics, friends, spouses, kids, money, the list can go on for there’s so many things or persons that can cause a distraction that we no longer find ourselves heading to the secret place for our daily bread.

Life is hectic, it’s hard at times, it’s a roller coaster experience but with all the “life-ing“ that happens, we should have and make time to communicate with our savior.

We know about idols but what about the place where the idol is sat upon?

That place is the altar.

An altar is a place of sacrifice.

When an altar is erected for something, a sacrifice must be given. It’s as if it’s demanded. Many people in today’s culture give so much of themselves to so many things in the world, that they don’t even have time to rest.

Take a pause and think about this.

What are you sacrificing? Is it time? Is it your family? Is it your mental and emotional well being? Your health? What is it for you?

As Christian’s we know that we should not bow down to idols nor serve them, but if you are to do a deep cleaning in your personal life, you’ll find many idols, many altars.

Through wisdom and revelation from my dear friend Holy Spirit as well the books and videos I’ve been going through, it’s clear that these altars are what’s working and speaking against a person and their bloodline.

Speaking against their career, their marriage, their health, their peace. This is what’s giving the enemy access to steal, kill and destroy.

There are generational and personal altars that need to be teared down.

You can pray against a spirit. But if it has legal access. It’s going to return. How do we shut this down? By addressing the altars.

I see altars as portals for demons to move in and out .

It’s nothing to be afraid of addressing because greater is He in us that he that is in the world.

Jesus has already paid for and made the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross at Calvary.

There is power in Jesus’s name and every idol that sits upon the altars must come done, every unclean spirit must obey.

In the weeks ahead, I’ll be speaking more about this within the ministry as well as equipping and leading the women into prayers against the altars in there lives.

Every work and assignment of the devil that is against you will not prosper. The Lord has great plans for us and by His leading and guidance all the works of the enemy will be exposed.
