Season of Change

Ecclesiastes 3:1
Time for Everything

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Today the Lord was ministering to me about the people that come and go in a person’s life. They came for a season and now that the season has ended , they must go. Go to make way for the next.

There is a time and a season.

There is a situation that will come in your life and there will be a person sent to help you in and through it. It doesn’t always mean that when the situation gets resolved that the person has to stay.

We must be discerning, watchful and praying at all times, just like with the weather. Say you have a family reunion at a park, that’s about to happen, you consciously become aware of the weather because you want it to be sunny on that day, you want to have fun on that day, you start looking into the weather forecast, you’re on the lookout daily, leading up to the reunion and you start praying ‘Lord please let it be a sunny day.’

With people , we have to be discerning as well. With anyone we let into our lives as a matter of fact. Certain individuals would have been placed in your life to help you row through certain courses. But it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be all. Every person has a testimony of what the Lord has brought them through. And from that area they are able to help others. It’s like asking a single person for marriage advice. They wouldn’t be able to give you that. They may know certain things, but they haven’t lived through it.

When a season has ended you will know. It becomes visible . If it’s the end of summer going into fall, you’ll begin to see the leaves changing and falling off.

Now how do we know the season has ended for a person in our life? How do we see , how do we discern?

The Lord will begin to show you. Different situations will arise and from those situations you will see that that person is not equipped to help you. Let’s use an example. It’s like you’re driving and you get a flat tire. Luckily someone stops and volunteers to help you change out the busted one. Changing a tyre is pretty much something most people can do right? Then another time comes and you end up in an accident. Part of your vehicle is smashed. You’re going to need someone who is equipped and trained in that specific area, most likely a mechanic. Who helped you in one season won’t be able to help you in another. The point being that not everyone is fully equipped for every journey / situation.

The same applies for when they have over stayed. The Lord will expose them. You’ll begin to see character flaws and attributes that weren’t there before or weren’t visible to you before come to the surface. Their speech will change, you’ll find that they no longer rejoice with you when things happen. Thats when the routes have changed.

And He said it’s like you’re going into spring , fresh air, different atmosphere. For you it’s all fun and exciting . A new season. Just as plants are springing forth and begin to blossom , the same is happening for you. New flowers and new branches. New opportunities. it can be a new jobor new business. The grass seems green to you. It’s going well and you see the hand of the Lord moving. For a person who’s season has ended in your life, they can be identified by their take on what you’re experiencing . If they seem cold and discouraging, that right there is enough to show you that they’re still in a winter land. A cold place, a cold heart!

As Christians, the only person who remains in all seasons is our Lord Jesus. His love for us does not change. “ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
He is equipped for every task at hand. He is the only one who can help us to navigate our lives. That’s why we say Jesus take the wheel 😅.

For there is a time and season for everything. The letting go process maybe hard, but it’s necessary. As stated in the previous blog, we have to let go to move on and that requires letting go of people as well.
